Sean joined Architype in October 2022 after completing his undergraduate degree from Norwich University of the Arts. Since joining Architype, Sean has contributed to an EnerPHit study, as well as primary and secondary education projects around Edinburgh.

Sean is driven by the opportunities that genuinely healthy and progressive design can offer in addressing current global crises, with a focus on the implementation of natural materials, and delivering for communitarian initiatives. Before pursuing a career in architecture, Sean worked in the fashion publication and art direction industries, working for Dazed, AnOther and Simon B Mørch.

Education

His BA final year project at Norwich University of the Arts was a proposed sustainable development zone dedicated to refugees and seekers of asylum in Barcelona. This won the Hamson Barron Smith Award for Sustainable Design and was nominated for the AJ Student Sustainability Prize. His final year dissertation investigated the role of the unconscious within poeisis, based on an analysis of László Moholy-Nagy’s work.
