Jenny Kerrigan

Architect
BA(Hons) DipArch

Jenny is an effective and considered communicator, with a keen interest in community consultation and inclusion within the design process.

Since joining Architype in 2007, Jenny has developed her knowledge of key design standards and regulations, and her skill is often used to audit overall project designs and details for compliance. As a key team player, Jenny has helped to successfully deliver St. Luke’s Infant and Junior School in Wolverhampton (UK’s first BREEAM Excellent Primary School) and subsequently the neighbouring project; Blakenhall Healthy Living Centre. Jenny’s involvement in pioneering Passivhaus for Architype has resulted in her project leading Architype’s 4th and the UK’s 5th Passivhaus Primary School, Wilkinson in Wolverhampton.

Education

Jenny completed her Part 1 at the University of Sheffield, with a thesis on contemporary architecture and the modern church, and Part 2 at Oxford Brookes University where her studies focussed on landscape recovery, recycled materials, social cohesion and international regeneration. She gained her registration as an architect in December 2010 while working with Architype.
