Nick Grant is an energy consultant specialising in Passivhaus, he is the Director of Elemental Solutions, a consultancy specialising in energy and water efficiency.

Nick has been working closely with Architype for the last decade and has played an integral part in creating controlled and optimised environments in some of our most ambitious projects. These include Hereford Archive and Record Centre, Imperial War Museums Paper Store and numerous Passivhaus school projects.

Education

He studied Mechanical Engineering at UCL and transferred to study Engineering Design and Appropriate Technology at Warwick. He left before graduation to help start a company designing and manufacturing feeding aids for people with intention tremor. Nick was one of the first Certified Passivhaus consultants in the UK, qualifying in 2010 and now teaches the CEPH course having helped develop the UK specific training.
