Gabby joined Architype’s Edinburgh team in 2020 as a Part 2 architectural assistant.

Gabby is interested in implementing Passivhaus and zero carbon buildings on a large scale with a focus on renewable materials and high-quality spaces, as well as exploring emerging digital construction and presentation methods. She previously worked on residential passive houses in New Zealand while studying for her Master’s degree.

While at Architype, Gabby has contributed to the design of North Muirton Primary School, Dunfermline Learning Campus, Currie Community High School and multiple Passivhaus consultancy projects. Gabby is an experienced Passivhaus and ECCOlab modeller and is part of the design team for the National Energy Research and Demonstrator (NERD).

Education

Gabby completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, graduating with a Master of Architecture (Professional) with distinction in 2019. Gabby is a Certified European Passivhaus (CEPH) designer.
