Freya is a qualified architect with experience in a diverse range of projects including higher education, healthcare, domestic, conservation and Passivhaus. Freya has a keen interest in sustainable construction as an integrated aspect of all projects and in particular how that can be applied to existing structures.

Freya joined Architype in early 2021 having worked for practices in London, Scotland and Australia. Most recently she worked on a Passivhaus higher education and cultural centre in the Scottish islands.

With Architype, Freya has been working as part of the teams delivering a series of pioneering Passivhaus schools in Edinburgh.

Education

Freya graduated from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow with a Bachelor and Diploma in Architecture before qualifying as an architect in 2015.
