Christian has a passion for low carbon design, and is qualified as both an Architect and Chartered Engineer (with CIBSE).

Christian has worked for Architype since 2004, bringing his low carbon expertise, detailing knowledge and BIM skills to a wide range of projects. Christian has developed an expertise in educational projects, through working on a multitude of early years children’s centres and primary schools. This includes three award-winning schools; The Gower School, Holy Trinity Primary School and most recently, Highgate Junior School. Christian has likewise been involved in university projects and was key member of the team delivering the much-celebrated Enterprise Centre. He is currently involved in designing the first Passivhaus secondary school in the UK.

Christian also uses his technical skills on research projects including Post Occupancy Evaluation and in developing the RAPIERE embodied carbon analysis software tool. Christian is also active in community work, and brings his experience of community involvement and inclusive design to his projects.

Education

Christian studied the MEng Architecture and Environmental Design at the University of Nottingham, and his Part 2 & Part 3 at London Metropolitan University. He qualified as an Architect in 2011, and as a Chartered Engineer in 2013.

Lectures

Christian also gives occasional lectures on materials at the Architectural Association, London and is acting as an examiner at for the MEng course at Nottingham University.
