Meital Ben Dayan

Meital joined Architype in 2013 and has over 10 years’ experience working in the UK, Ireland, Los Angeles and Israel, specialising in environmental design.
Meital has led Architype design teams in a wide range of projects including educational buildings, offices, transport facilities, sports centres and urban schemes. She is also part of Architype’s Research and Innovation group, having conducted research into a schools’ life cycle carbon footprint and post-occupancy evaluation of completed projects. As part of her work in Ireland, Meital designed the Irish Defence Forces Headquarters, the Department of CRGA offices and was part of the architectural team designing the Irish Expo Pavilion in Shanghai.
Meital has completed MSc in Sustainable Environmental Design at the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA) with distinction. She has completed her Part 3 qualifications at University College Dublin (UCD) and Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) in Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem including student exchange at Southern California School of Architecture (SCI-ARC) in Los Angeles.
Meital has published papers and presented at Passive and Low Energy Architecture (PLEA) international conferences in Munich and Bologna, and NCEUB conference. She has lectured at the Architectural Association and Westminster University and was involved in research for the Israeli Green Building Council (ILGBC) and the Israeli Ministry of Environment. She is currently part of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) Future Leaders programme.
