Polly Upton
Arch Assistant
Polly joined Architype in 2007 after completing her degree at the Mackintosh school of architecture in Glasgow. She completed her MArch in 2010 at the Welsh School of Architecture, her thesis concentrating on sustainable design in the city. Polly has since returned to Architype to develop her interest in socially and environmentally sustainable design and has worked on the Ecos housing schemes; St Michael’s Hospice; and is currently working on an extension to the Coed y Brenin visitor centre in south Snowdonia. Before studying architecture, Polly trained as a stonemason and has a passion for working with stone and historic buildings. When not at work Polly enjoys visiting historic buildings, walking cycling, cooking, and is learning to knit.
