Jon Ackroyd

Architect

Jon is an award winning project architect who also plays a leading role in the practice's post occupancy research. He is currently running the £10.1m Davidson Centre in Croydon – a complex phased conversion of locally listed Edwardian site into a new 4FE entry primary school. In his research role, he is leading a 2yr government funded post occupancy study on Bessemer Grange Primary School. Other key projects include the Gower Montessori Primary and Bessemer Grange Primary schools, which respectively won the 2011 BCSE Independent School of the Year award and a commendation in the Sustainable School of the Year category. Jon lectures externally, including at the RIBA, Technology Strategy Board, Nottingham and London Met Universities. Outside Architype he is undertaking a City and Guilds qualification in carpentry and joinery.      ]
