A five bedroom house forming part of the permanent exhibition of alternative technologies at the Centre. It was constructed during an international summer training camp as part of International Year of Shelter for the Homeless in 1987.

The house features:

• High levels of insulation and a well sealed structure

• A passive solar conservatory

• Active solar water heating

• Composting toilet

• Wind powered electricity generation

• A single wood burning stove as the only supplementary space and water heating source
