Associate Gareth Selby presents the Enterprise Centre

The Passivhaus Trust Awards took place on the 24thOctober alongside the 2018 London Build expo.

It was an especially exciting occasion for Architype, with the Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia nominated in the non-domestic category.

The winning result for the Enterprise Centre is projects 31st award! More than all of the other UEA campus awards combined, highlighting the buildings tremendous success.

Judges commented that “This ambitious office demonstrates exemplary low-carbon architecture that achieves the client’s aspiration of Passivhaus, BREEAM Outstanding and a 100-year performance lifecycle.”

This is our 3rdwin in the non-domestic category at the Passivhaus Trust Awards and it’s safe to say that the competition has grown significantly since 2012, proving the growing commitment to the standard in the UK. Congratulations to all of the nominated projects!

To add to the success, Architype’s own Juraj Mikurcik had success with his own house, Old Holloway, in the Small project’s category.
