Alison Hand
Business Development Manager
Alison completed a BA in Fine Art at Cardiff University, and an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art, London. She joined Architype in 2004, following a passion for architecture into the architect’s office. She has a particular interest in Architype’s social ethos and background in self-build architecture. Alison works part time with Architype, writing bids and tenders, managing press liaison and PR, and sourcing new business. Outside Architype she is a practicing and exhibiting artist, with 3 shows coming up in 2012. She teaches Diploma painting; is a board director of arts organisation Art Gene; and recently was Writer in Residence for Abstract Critical Journal. She is mad about European Modernism, cities, travel, and anything to do with Spain.
